Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026

1. About This Policy

DriverOpenDoor (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a fleet driver retention platform that sends weekly anonymous SMS surveys to commercial truck drivers on behalf of their employers (“fleet companies”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a driver who receives our messages.

2. Information We Collect

When you receive and respond to a DriverOpenDoor SMS survey, we may collect:

  • Your star rating (1–5 scale)
  • Any optional comment you choose to write
  • Your approximate city and state, derived from your IP address at the time you tap the survey link
  • Whether you are accessing the link from a mobile device
  • The date and time you submitted your response

We do not store your raw IP address. It is immediately converted using a one-way cryptographic hash and cannot be reversed or traced back to you.

Your name and phone number are stored only by your employer (the fleet company) and are never included in any feedback record. We cannot link any feedback response to a specific driver unless you explicitly check “Reveal my identity” on the feedback form.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide your employer with anonymous, aggregated feedback reports (averages, trends, keyword themes)
  • To detect patterns that may indicate driver dissatisfaction, so your employer can take action to improve working conditions
  • To generate anonymized, aggregated industry-level benchmarks and workforce insights

Your individual feedback responses and any personally identifiable information are shared only with your employer, in aggregate anonymized form, solely for the purpose of improving driver retention and working conditions. We do not sell or disclose your personal information or individual responses to any third party.

4. Aggregated Data & Market Intelligence

DriverOpenDoor may analyze data across our platform to produce aggregated, anonymized market intelligence — such as industry-wide sentiment benchmarks, regional workforce trends, and retention risk indicators. This aggregated data is derived from thousands of responses and does not contain any information that could identify you or any individual driver.

We may share or license such aggregated insights with third parties, including employers, workforce analytics providers, research organizations, and industry partners. Any data shared in this manner is statistical in nature — it reflects patterns across large groups, not the views or information of any individual.

If you submitted a public survey on our website and voluntarily provided contact information for an interview, that information may be used to connect you with fleet opportunities you expressed interest in. We will only use your contact details for the purpose you indicated, and you can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

5. SMS Communications

DriverOpenDoor sends SMS messages on behalf of your employer. By receiving these messages, you acknowledge that your employer has enrolled your phone number in this program as part of your employment relationship.

  • Message frequency: Approximately 1 message per week
  • Message & data rates may apply depending on your carrier plan
  • To opt out at any time, reply STOP to any message
  • To get help, reply HELP to any message

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level database security, and server-side-only access to sensitive fields such as phone numbers. No phone numbers are ever transmitted to the browser or exposed in API responses.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Opt out of all SMS messages at any time by replying STOP
  • Request deletion of any data associated with your phone number by contacting us
  • Ask what information we hold about you
  • Withdraw consent for any voluntary contact information you submitted
