Driver managers, handled automatically

Samsara doesn't have a single built-in "driver manager" field — different fleets model it differently — so DriverOpenDoor reads it the two ways fleets actually use:

• Tags — if you group drivers under a tag group like Dispatchers or Driver Managers, we use each driver's tag in that group.
• Custom attributes — if you store a "Driver Manager" attribute on the driver, we use that.

If a driver has neither, we leave the manager blank — we never guess. That means the manager data you see is data you can trust.

How easy is it, really?

The high-level steps

1. Create a Samsara API token. In Samsara, go to Settings → API Tokens → Create API Token. Enable the Read Drivers permission (and Read Tags if you assign managers via tags). Copy the token.
2. Open DriverOpenDoor. Go to Settings → Integrations and click Connect on the Samsara card.
3. Paste and pick your region. Drop in the token, choose US / EU / Canada, and click Connect Samsara.

Your token is safe

Your Samsara API token is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. It's never shown again, never written to logs, and never included in any API response.
